An exceptional and beautifully designed sideboard made by Gordon Russell using burr walnut, walnut, and laburnum on an oak carcass. Hand made pin hinges by Dick Russell (brother).  English c1950 or possibly earlier.  Stunning use of figured wood throught, the attention to detail ie handles, escutcheons, feet and internal shelving is second to none! A master craftsman constructed and designed piece. Classic and elegant. In exceptional original condition with little use or wear.  Originally considered to have been made as a bespoke piece commission for an important Lancashire house.
