A C19th Japanese hand embroidered textile panel depicting a pair of red headed black and white cranes at the centre surrounded by other birds, Wisteria, Honeysuckle, Water Lillies, Chrysanthemum and Jasime flowers on a turquise blue silk back ground. Profusely decorated with masses amounts of beautifully executed hand embroidery which would result in many hours and days of work.  In excellent overall condition. Mounted on a stretcher ready to hang on a wall.  An absolute work of art.

The cranes represent long life, luck and fidelity along with the significance of each flower and plant depicted in this glorious piece. It is alive with work!
