An incredible Japanese Meiji period painted, woven and hand cut velvet textile of five tigers amongst a rocky landscape with a stream and bamboo plants.  This Meiji textile is created using the traditional Japanese technique of yuzen birodo which involves a dye resistant technique to paint and draw as well as hand cutting velvet to create different textures and hues.
