A striking textile, hand embroidered using chain stitching and folding to create stylised flowers, leaves, stars and s scrolls. Lovely vibrant colours of red, pink and white with splashes of blue, green, yellow and orange. Hours of work to create and a true labour of love. It originates from Turkmenistan, Central Asia and was most likely created to celebrate a couples wedding, particularly as it is dated in stitch 1970 - 2 -7 (see photo).
