A Chinese hand embroidered textile on pale cream silk. This was made c 1950 for the European market. It is exquisitely executed with very fine detail of a peacock surrounded by butterflies, wisteria within a rose boarder. Mounted on a stretcher ready for hanging on a wall. Some slight visible areas of staining to fabric, which does not overall detract from the piece.
