Hand embroidered silver metal thread panel with red and pale yellow thread detail. A wonderful symmetrical piece depecting acanthus leaves in borders with raised linear and checkered metal thread. Can be hung portrait or landscape. In great condition with lovely soft colours. Beautifully created and technically accomplished. Italian late C18th/ early C19th. We have had this piece mounted on a canvas stretcher so that it can be hung as an art work.
