A pair of Walnut consoles/side tables attributed to Paolo Buffa, Italian c1950. The design and square decoration to the front is typical of Italian modernist and brutalist styles used during the 1950/60's. Each console has a compartment for storage which is lockable (2 keys). Wonderful used of walnut wood as well as elegant and clean lines.
